The flap mixer is a mechanical device combining the functions of an LPG gas mixer and an explosion-proof flap.
Application
The mixer produces an air-gas fuel mixture by blending the air drawn in by the engine with the vaporized gas from the reducer-evaporator.
Integrated flaps protect the intake duct components and the air filter housing from damage caused by possible flame flashback of the air-fuel mixture into the intake manifold. In such an event, the flap closes to safeguard the intake system components. The flap mixer’s special design allows momentary venting of the intake duct, which helps equalize pressure.
